Where technically appropriate, an alternative may be proposed with its specification and compatibility considerations for review. An equivalent is assessed against the vessel’s application rather than part number similarity alone.
What information should a spares enquiry include?＋
Maker, model, part number, quantity, nameplate photographs and drawings or datasheets where available. Include vessel name, delivery port and ETA or required date.
Can different equipment categories be supplied together?＋
Requirements can be brought together in a coordinated supply package. Shipment timing and consolidation depend on availability, delivery locations and the vessel schedule.
