The requirement

The vessel required an integrated stores package in Brazil covering deck, engine, cabin and galley items under one requisition. The requirement included substitute maker identification, split shipment management and urgent additions.

The scope was therefore both a supply package and a coordination exercise. Multiple product categories and changes to the requirement needed to remain connected to the onboard delivery plan.

Supply coordination and changes

The work brought the four stores categories together under the requisition. Where substitutes were involved, maker identification formed part of the process. Split shipments and urgent additions were managed alongside the supply arrangement.

A split shipment changes the delivery sequence without changing the need to reconcile the overall requirement. Keeping the individual items and additions connected to the requisition provides a clearer basis for reviewing what is supplied through each movement.
